Description
Molo and Tsegai have a courage potion. They also possess a bone to protect them from predators, a stone to defend against enemies, and a seed to ward off longing. All these gifts were given to them by their mother before she sent them from their village, which had been set on fire, on a journey to save their lives. Along the way, they face many dangers: lions, hyenas, and dark nights. Will Molo and Tsegai be able to overcome the obstacles and reach a safe place?
The author Tamar Varta-Zehavi and the editor Ronit Rosenthal met with African asylum seekers and listened to their stories about their childhoods and arduous journeys. The artist Silvia Khabib joined the meetings, and this children’s book was born. The work on the book was done on a voluntary basis, and all proceeds from it will be dedicated to the needs of asylum seekers.
