Description
Fleshcas: A Love Story is an absurd tale based on memories, a family dialogue taking place during the father’s dying moments, and the unmasked anticipation of his death. It unfolds within a miniature model of a childhood home. The characters are carved from wood, scarred by the sharp marks of pain, love, longing, and guilt. Alongside the characters, the inanimate objects – the jars, cupboards, chairs, pictures, rugs, and walls – are all covered with bandages, in an attempt to obscure and erase the scars, while simultaneously making the wound present, enveloping it, and healing it.
