A preference will be given to \u00a0those working in projects that engage art and the local and complex reality.<\/p>\n

Born 1979 in Vienna, is an artist and filmmaker, who researches and intervenes in the intersections of art and politics, power relations and social contexts, history-politics and media mechanisms, strategies of exclusion and the commodification of knowledge. He studied art in Vienna and Weimar and currently works on his PhD at the Department for Visual Contemporary History at the University of Vienna, dealing with post-genocidal identity constructions of third generation Shoah survivors between anti-Semitism and philo-Semitism. Perry<\/span> Bard is an artist living in New York. She works individually and collaboratively on interdisciplinary projects for public space. \u00a0Her web and public space project Man With A Movie Camera: The Global Remake\u00a0dziga.perrybard.net<\/a> invites participation in a mashup of a 1929 film belonging to world cultural history. The work has been presented in 30 venues to date. It won Honorary Mention in the Digital Communities category at Ars Electronica \u201908, was presented at Transmediale \u201909, File \u201909, Media Forum at Moscow International Film Festival \u201909, at the Montreal Biennial \u201909, has been installed in museums and galleries worldwide<\/p>\n

Kanarek has been working in the field of new media since 1995. Her on-going practice World of Awe has been exhibited in museum around the world including the Whitney Biennial, SFMOMA and currently at the National Museum for Contemporary Art in Athens. Her practice integrates multiple media to construct a narrative. In 1999 Kanarek started organizing a series of talks for new media artists that emerged into the Upgrade! international network. She\u2019s represented by bitforms gallery in New York and Nelly Aman in Tel Aviv. She\u2019ll be developing her most recent project as a resident artist at Mamuta and will join the team to develop art and technolgy related programs.<\/p>\n

Born in Istanbul, in 1976, K\u00f6ken Ergun studied acting at the \u0130stanbul University and completed his postgraduate diploma degree in Classics at King\u2019s College London, followed by an MA degree in Visual Communication Design at the Bilgi University. After working with American theatre director Robert Wilson, Ergun became involved more with contemporary art, specifically video and performance. He has exhibited internationally at institutions including Platform Garanti (Istanbul), KIASMA Museum of Contemporary Arts (Helsinki), Sparwasser HQ (Berlin), Digital ArtLab (Tel Aviv), Museum of Contemporary Arts Taipei, Casino Luxembourg, Art in General (New York), and Stedelijk Museum Bureau Amsterdam. His video works are also screened at film festivals, including Oberhausen, Rotterdam, Sydney and Zagreb Film Festivals. He is the 2007 recipient of the Tiger Award of the Rotterdam Film Festival for his short film The Flag.

Krenn , born 1970 in Vienna, studied electronic music and applied art at the University of Vienna, where today he is a lecturer (at the University of Applied Arts). Since 2006 he is the president of Austrian Artists Association \u2013 IG Bildende Kunst. In his artistic work,\u00a0 Krenn explores and probes socio-political subjects, focusing on strategies and methods of resistance to the governing relations of power. In this, he makes use of different media, mainly photography, video and internet and realizes his projects in the form of expositions , web, and interventions in public space. Martin was in Mamuta in the frame of a cultural exchange between austrian and israeli artists.<\/p>\n

Katharina Morawek, a Vienna based artist, activist and art educator will talk about her PhD Thesis, which deals with politics of visibility of feminist movements, sexuality in public and the private space of the street.\u00a0Kati<\/span> has been working primarily in collective contexts and is teaching cultural studies and ethnography at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. Since 2005 she is a coordinating editor of the bi-monthly independend magazine MALMOE, which is dealing with culture, politics and questioning \u201cneoliberalism of the mind\u201d.
